Quang Ninh Museum
Constructed and built just in 2013, the Quang Ninh Museum is the modern and stylish representation of what Halong Bay was and what it is about in the present.
Halong City’s Quang Ninh Museum is one of the country’s most sophisticated and well designed architecture in the last 10 years. Comprising of various zones/floors that each tells a story about what Halong Bay was before and how it’s been surviving in the last few hundred centuries. Going inside the museum, visitors will have the chance to learn more about the Vietnamese culture and the differences between the regions.
On the other side of the building lies the Quang Ninh Library that serves as the study and work area for a lot of locals from all ages. Divided in different zones like the museum, the Quang Ninh Library has specific areas for those who want to do hardcore studying, researching, surfing the net, and even just for reading the local newspapers.
How to reach it?
From 8 a.m to 11.30 am and from1.30 p.m to 5.30 p.m every day except for Monday and Holiday, the museum is open to welcome visitors. The giant shiny black building can be easily noticed from afar. You can found it at Tran Quoc Nghien road, Hong Hai ward, Hon Gai area, Halong City. Catching a taxi is the most convenient option to going around in Halong City.
Entrance fee?
Currently, the entrance fee is 30,000 VND/adult (around 1.5 USD) and ticket can be bought at the ticket counter outside the building. Discounted price is applied for children, group guests and group reservation can be done in advance, even for Monday and Holiday.
